- Under 18 months: avoid screen time with the exception of video chatting
- 18-24 months: limited screen time of high-quality programming, such as Sesame Street, in the presence of an adult
- 2-5 years: Maximum of 1 hour per day of high-quality programming in the presence of an adult
- 6 years and up: set consistent technology limits that help to create a healthy life balance. Use the AAP Media Plan to create a personalized plan for your family.
- Designate media-free times and areas (car, dinner table, bedrooms)
